Meet Tammy Watson

As a child, Tammy’s deepest desire was to have a dozen children, red, yellow, black, brown and white, just like the Sunday School song.  Raised in North Carolina, she approached our first startup with some fear, wondering what a small town girl could say to an addict, gang member or prostitute.  As she began to minister on the streets, she discovered that God had already prepared her for the task and through the ministry would fulfill the desires of her heart.  She became a mother to the hurting, the broken, the homeless, those trapped in prostitution and addiction.

With her husband, she traveled across the United States, living and ministering in some of the most dangerous communities in our country.  Making her home in violent ghettos, rat-infested skid-row hotels and houses no better than shacks, she raised her children, protected them from harm and taught them that Jesus does indeed love the little children.  She also mothered neighborhood children, helping them to find their way, to dream of a better life and to serve Christ with all their hearts.

Tammy has shared her life and ministry before both small and large crowds.  She is available for speaking at churches, special meetings, conferences and civic clubs.  To arrange for Tammy to speak at your organization, call 219 888-9511 or email her at tammywatson@gsmissions.org.
